A 3-Plate Mold is a type of injection mold design that consists of three main plates:

1. Fixed Plate (C Plate) – Mounted on the stationary side of the injection molding machine, containing the cooling system and cavity.
2. Movable Plate (A Plate) – Attached to the moving side of the machine, responsible for part ejection.
3. Middle Plate (B Plate) – Positioned between the fixed and movable plates, primarily used for runner system separation.

This mold design differs from a 2-Plate Mold by having an additional split between the runner and part, allowing the use of pin-point gates and enabling automatic runner separation during the molding process.
